邱 昭 財 Chiu, Chao-Tsai
邱昭財生於台灣苗栗(1977),畢業於臺北藝術大學美術創 作碩士班,現居住、工作於台北。專長為互動裝置。作品結 合物理原理或發條機械等,將類同於玩具的互動機制置入作 品,經由觀眾主體的介入來觸動開啟作品的動態,在互動、 對應的歷程中,作品構型的樣貌不斷變動,跳脫了實體恆定 的狀態,聲、動、時空變化的作品情狀,觀者因而得到即時 的回饋。
Chiu Chao-Tsai was born in Miaoli, Taiwan in 1977. He obtained his M. F. A. degree from Taipei National University of the Arts. He currently lives and works in Taipei. Chiu‘s work focuses on interactive mechanism. Combining with physical principles or clockwork machinery, the works put an interactive mechanism similar to toys into the works, the audience’s intervention touched the dynamics of the works. In the process of interaction and correspondence, the appearance of the works‘ configuration is constantly changing, which skipped the constant state of entity and the condition of works with sound, motion and time and space changes, viewers get instant feedback.

彩色的椅子,等待著觀眾前來坐下。上座前,請先轉動旋柄上緊發條,隨即椅子唱起了歌,輕緩的旋律放送,彷彿童年記憶裡的音樂盒,每張椅子唱著不同的歌。《聽椅子唱歌》試圖釋放舒緩的因子,提示關於「休息」的奇想。如果上緊發條象徵「努力」,那麼當我們也要為休憩家具上緊發條,就好像是為著休息而努力—一種對於自我的關愛與獎勵。
請上座,享受這輕鬆氛圍,好好休息一會兒吧!
The colorful chairs are waiting for the audience to come and sit down. Before taking the seat, please turn the knob and wind up the spring. The chair will sing songs, and the gentle melody will be played as if a music box in the childhood memories. Each chair sings a different song. “Singing Chair” tries to release soothing factors, suggesting the whimsy of rest. If winding-up symbolizes hard work, then when we wind-up leisure furniture, it is like working hard for rest-a kind of “care” and “reward” for ourselves.
