Gentle Steps with Open Ears, Acrylic, 90x130cm each, 2022
Let us practice together how to tune our ears, expand our sensitivities to sound. Listen and observe from silences, steps, environments, echoes and imaginations.
lOpen your water bottle and put your ear inside. Does your water bottle sing? Can you sing its sound?
lListen to your footsteps: on concrete paths, wooden platforms, grass, water. Can you perform walking like music?
lCan you hear the different colours in the wind, when it kisses trees, long grass, windows and your hair?
lIs the sound here cold or warm? Bright or dim? Rough or smooth?
lDo you know what love sounds like? What’s the sound of feeling sad? What’s the sound of being angry?
